Great American Cleanup

Keep Pasco Beautiful has been participating in the Great American Cleanup since 1992. Each year the event takes place on the first Saturday in March. This is a national event to promote shared community responsibility by picking up litter. Litter will only attract more litter, but as a community we have the power to change that.

Great American Cleanup volunteersDuring the 2021 Great American Cleanup on March 6, 2021, volunteers collected 36,920 pounds of trash throughout the county. On foot and by kayak, 659 volunteers made their efforts count – covering 37 locations including Anclote Gulf Park in Holiday, Port Richey, New Port Richey, Wesley Chapel and Hudson.

Keep Pasco Beautiful hosts the Great American Cleanup with corporate funding assistance. The event’s success is a result of collaboration and assistance among Pasco County Public Works; Pasco County Solid Waste; Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, and Pasco County Environmental Compliance.
